The Edinburgh Series focuses on the aerial viewpoint; looking down into the urban environment with thought relating to space, distance and relationships between those living in the city and their surrounding landscape. Here I've used shaped boards to emphasise the angle of the aerial viewpoint. 

The composition for this painting was developed from sketches I made while sitting atop Arthurs Seat, Edinburgh.
